Robert A. Garwood, MD
Dr. Garwood joined the RMH medical staff in 2007. He earned his medical degree from the Penn State University College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Virginia. Dr. Garwood also completed a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery from the University of Virginia. He is board certified in general surgery.

Gene D. Branum, MD
Since 2001 Dr. Branum has been a part of the RMH Medical Staff. He received his medical degree from the Duke University School of Medicine. Both his internship and residency were completed at Duke University Hospital. Dr. Branum is a board certified general surgeon.

Bonnie Paine, PA-C
Physician Assistant–Certified
Bonnie has returned to the Harrisonburg area after working in Charleston, West Virginia for a comprehensive weight loss clinic, Medabolix, Inc. She attended Radford University, earning a bachelor of science degree in biology before completign the physician assistant (PA) program at James Madison University.

Amy Herman
Practice Manager, RMH Surgical Clinic
Amy holds a bachelor of science degree in nutrition from Bridgewater College. She has worked with RMH surgical patients for 20 years and has been involved in many aspects of total surgical patient care. She has worked closely with Harrisonburg Surgical Associates physicians to provide optimal customer service while attending to the needs of both patients and their families. |

Sara Wilfong, R.D.
Sara has been working as a Registered Dietitian for four years. She is originally from Harrisonburg, VA and now resides in Waynesboro. Sara graduated with a bachelors of science in Dietetics from James Madison University and then completed her internship from University of Virginia. At RMH, Sara works with a variety of problems including obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. She enjoys working with patients to reach their goals and to achieve a healthier wellbeing. |

Jane Pirooz, LPC
Jane is the clinical services and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) coordinator for Rockingham Memorial Hospital. She received her graduate degrees in counseling psychology from James Madison University and has been a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Virginia for 19 years. She has presented on numerous mental health and EAP topics and has expertise in program development, performance management and group facilitation. Jane also coordinates outpatient mental health services at the RMH Center for Behavioral Health. |
